Died 31st March 2008
Age 61
Happy 62nd Birthday Dad for Sunday 1st June 2008. Now you spend your birthday in a better place. Free from harm and pain and happiness again. much love to you always. xxx
We lost our Dad tragically on the 31st March 2008. We will never ever get over losing our precious Dad. Words cannot express the hurt we feel inside. Four broken hearts that can never be mended.
My Dad was born in the Dingle, Liverpool 8 in 1946. His late brothers name was Robert and my Grandmothers name was Christina Scott. (Who sadly passed away on the 9th May 2006) A strong, kind and loving Mother and Nan who was always their to support her family.
My Dad was an extremely clever at School. His reports were always outstanding and he excelled in all subjects. Sadly in those days when my Dad left school, working class families weren't encouraged into higher education and so my Dad got his first job in a cake factory. My Dad and his friends would pump up jam donuts with excess amounts of jam, so when a member of the public bit into one jam would explode all over their face.
My Dad had a great sense of humour from an early age. He would always find something funny to say about many different topics and bizarre situations.
My Dad had many other jobs. He was a bus driver, He worked at ICI in Runcorn. He was also employed by Liverpool City Council as a Security Guard.
My Dad met my Mother Stella (Who also tragically died on the 31st March 2008. Please view Stella Scott's Memorial Site.) they were married on May 6th 1967. My Dad was 21 years old and my Mum was 19 years old. So young and so in love.
Dad and Mum settled down and had three children. They brought up their family in the quiet leafy suburbs of Allerton. Childhood days were fun. We have many fond memories of Dad and Mum. Such kind, supportive parents.
Dad and Mum had so many fun loving friends and were very well liked. This was reiterated when 400 family members, friends and neighbours turned up to show their respects at their funeral on Wednesday 16th April 2008 at St Bernadette's Church, Allerton Liverpool. So many people who had been touched by kindness, humour and love from our parents.
We were and still are overwhelmed and appreciative of all the support we have received. Many Thanks and much love to you all.
We miss you so much Dad. Wish you were here everyday.
